The Courthouse at Night

"The Courthouse at Night"
the original is sold
oil on canvas, 46 x 30 inches, available

This is by far the largest painting I have completed on location. I think it ended up taking me 7 nights from 9:30 pm to about 1:00 am. It was a surreal experience being outside in the city at night for that length of time. There where so many wierd things that would happen and very intersting folk wandering around. I am selling it for $2500.

I am also making prints in the sizes listed below. The painting was captured using a 39 megapixel camera and will be printed on canvas using the latest Epson printer and archival inks. They will be mounted on stretcher bars ready to hang or frame. You will not be able to tell that these are not originals in less you get up real close.

16 x 10 inches = $90

24 x 15 inches = $180

32 x 20 inches = $250 (the best deal and effect, I believe)

48 x 30 inches = $600 (actual size of original)

Please email me at if you have any questions, thanks.

  1. Nice Effort here. Shows dedication to return to the location as many times as you did. (Many night creatures around that part of town, eh?)

    Keep up the good work.

    Best regards,

    Thomas Van Stein

  2. Yea, I had a fat rat that would crawl up behind me most nights. I would turn and make to scare him, but he wouldn't even flinch. I wish I had more energy to do more pieces like this but its hard staying up late all the time.

  3. Gilles would have purchese this one for shure, it's very bieautful. It make me thitnk of him.... Isabelle xx
