"Bud Lake", Yosemite National Park, California

"Bud Lake"
24 x 12 inches
oil on canvas

The high Sierra lakes have always been one of my favorite environments. It is literally God's Garden up there. Everything is beautiful and works together to form a combination of water, rock and vegetation that puts to shame any human garden I have seen. This is my first painting of one of these lakes on the account that its very difficult to hike your gear up there. Not to mention you have to get the wet painting back relativavly unharmed. I am hoping to do a big one of the whole lake from photos and sketches this winter...
