"View of Santa Barbara with Fall Clouds", Eling's Park, Santa Barbara, California

"View of Santa Barbara with Fall Clouds"
Eling's Park, Santa Barbara
24 x 48 inches, oil on canvas

I really love this view because it shows you just how much the coast curves into our little hamlet next to the sea. It also contains many local landmarks. In the foreground you have the Upper West Side I imagine. The right hand hill is TV Hill. The first area of land to the left of that is where city college is. Behind that is the anchorages outside of the harbor. To the middle to far left is Santa Barbara downtown, with a view of the the courthouse and the Granada. The Riviera is in partly shadow and leans out towards the point below the Graveyard called aptly Graveyards. Beyond that you can see Summerland and Loon Point. Then we have Carpinteria in the flat part below Rincon Hill. How's that for some google key words!
