Castle Rock - 9 x 12 - oil on panel

2007 - Banff, Alberta, CN - This was a short walk from our camp site. As I was working on this at 5 am a huge moose came up from the forrest about 50 yrds away. At first I was excited and curious, then as it started walking towards me that changed to fear and I quickly decided to bang on the railroad tracks to let him know I was there. He stared at me for a moment, thrashed his antlers on the tree next to him and walked off into the woods.
